sick of being dizzy/lightheaded
« on: March 20, 2013, 12:11:15 PM »
Just need to vent. I have been dealing with dizziness/lightheadedness since my son was born 6-1/2 months ago. It is one of what feels like a million symptoms I have endured over these months. I am in counseling and reading about why it's happening, but for some ridiculous reason it's the symptom that still can freak me out. I guess I just hate the feeling! I'm sure nearly everyone on here is sick of something so it's just easier to vent here than to someone that has no clue how frustrating this is. I know I need to reduce stress but how the heck do you do that with a 4 year old and a 6 month old? There are times I think I'm going to feel like crap forever. I know that's not true but it just feels that way. Sorry for the rant, thanks for reading.

I am sorry you are feeling this way, but I can say, I understand.  Right after I had my baby, I began getting very light headed to the point where I would faint.  I was rushed to the ER and they told me my heart was beating very fast.  It was not anxiety.  They called it a v tach, but don't worry, you probably don't have that, but I did not have a heart defect, so thankfully, mine is not life threatening.  If you are super exhausted, that can be the cause too.  I highly recommend, if you are as exhausted as I was, to double up on the vitamin folic acid.  It is just a b vitamin and I was EXHAUSTED until I found it.  Try it and see if it helps!  I know you probably took it during pregnancy, but some people (like me), need it daily.  It worked wonders for me.  Good luck and hope you feel better.

Thanks panicqueen! I do have a heart defect so my cardiologist had a chest catscan, a 24 hour monitor and an echo stress test done. All of which came back fine. Also had an MRI of my brain done as the heart defect puts me at increased risk of stroke. So, I'm pretty sure it's all anxiety. I am definitely exhausted! I will have to look into the folic acid. I take a multivitamin daily but maybe I need more.
