Glove like sensation?
« on: March 20, 2013, 08:36:49 AM »
So a quick recap on me. Big MS worrier. Had usual tests all clear in Oct. Just saw neuro last week on a follow up where he did a quick neuro exam, all good, and discharged me from his care.

Ok so then a couple of days later this sensation started like I'm wearing a glove or a sweater. I'm trying not to freak out because I've seen it on here before. But the location is weird. It's my left little toe, right big toe, and left shin. It's not there 24/7, but it is there a majority of the time. It starts when I'm not thinking about it, then I can't stop thinking about it once it starts and it hangs around. Been about 4 days now.

I have been under a lot of stress the last couple of weeks so normally I would attribute it to that, but overall my physical  symptoms (twtiching, tingling, etc) have been better so isn't it weird to get a new one? Also weird to me where it is happening and a bit concerning it is so localized to those few areas? It isn't numb or tingly and if I touch it the sensation seems normal.

All my vitamin levels are good, I drink plenty of water, stay active and stretch my legs a lot.

Anyone else ever have this? Anxiety related? Concerning? Should I get it checked out??

It sounds like another lovely symptom of anxiety.  Just try to keep busy and not to worry (easier said than done, I know) and it too will pass.  Your neurologist already said you were fine.  Believe him.

I had the same sensation on my left big toe for a few weeks. I don't know why but I eventually just forgot about it.

Anxiety symptoms tend to change just as you get start to come to terms with them.
