PTSD from Benzo withdrawal
« on: March 20, 2013, 06:53:58 AM »
My Name is Joseph and I have PTSD from 5 traumatic benzodiazepine drug withdrawals from which I am on my final taper. I believe I have aquired PTSD from these drug withdrawal and my experiences from coming off them. I will save my story for a later time as I do not feel I can cope with telling my story atm.

Please Allow me some slack and time to slowly ease my way onto this site and get comfortable...I'm not sure I belong here yet.

Thank you, Joseph

PTSD normally involves events in your life that may have happened some years back. Say you got attacked. Or hit by a car. But you never got treatment for it. You just left it be. Then many years later it comes back to bite you hard.

Just be careful when writing about benzos. We tend not to approve anti-Benzo posts. If it makes Benzos out to look back the post won't see the light of day. So be careful how you word it. As we do have members who take Benzos and have no problem taken them either. We don't like to scare them off taken their medication. Which I am sure you can understand.

I'm sorry, I'm not against benzos...It was the withdrawal "experience" that I had (I cold turkeyed them) 3 yrs ago and had reactions to other drugs that gave me PTSD. I don't mean to scare anyone. I apologize if it seemed that way.
