Okay, so 95% chance that I actually have zero problems with body Oder, In fact, I get quite a lot of compliments on how nice I usually smell. I am obsessed with cologne, and body sprays. (I think I own over 30 bottles of cologne.) For some reason, no matter where I am, I always get this feeling that I smell bad, or that people are thinking in their heads "Does this guy EVER shower?" Not only that, but if I happen to notice an offensive smell in my general nasal range, I immediately panic and think it's coming from me.

Am I the only one with this annoying anxiety of my scent profile? There's got to be a way to make me feel better about this right?

Thanks!

You're not alone! I remember my sister went through a phase of obsessing about her body odour. She never ever smelt but she thought she did. She ended up mastering the armpit stealth sniff  and always walked about with a big pack of body wipes.

It started to get a bit obsessive but she got over it by sticking to a standard routine...wash as normal, put deodorant on as normal and maybe some perfume. But that was it. Eventually the thoughts about it started to disappear and she is ok now. Sorry I cant be of more help but I hope it does pass for you

I thought I was the only one who did this! I always feel like I smell, but only in public situations, not at home. Like people are avoiding me because of my body odor or because my breath smells. So I am always chewing gum, eating mints, or running to the bathroom for a pit check.

But ultimately this fear causes me to keep my arms down, which in turn causes me to sweat, which makes me think I smell worse and the cycle starts all over again!

I'm the same way.  I have no sense of smell, so I'm always worrying I might have BO and not realize it.  I only wear my clothing once because I can't do a "sniff" test and tell if it's okay or not, I never eat garlic unless I'm positive that I won't be talking to anybody for the following day, and I substitute shallots for onions because I've been told shallots smell less.

I think it's because my sister used to follow me around telling me I smelled bad or that I made the bathroom stink as a child, or that my breath smelled gross.  It's made me very paranoid.
