Super tired around noon every day
« on: March 19, 2013, 10:56:03 AM »
Hey all,

Something I've noticed the past couple months: I get tired every day right between 11 and noon.  If I'm at work I don't really notice it but at home during that time I seriously feel like I could fall asleep standing up.  This feeling lasts about an hour or so and then subsides...and then I go on with the rest of my day feeling totally fine, not tired.  I get 7-8 hours of sleep a night and feel rested when I get up in the morning so I don't get it.  I'm sure that I have depression along with my anxiety, and I know depression can cause excessive sleepiness but...just seems kind of weird.  Worries me that it happens like clockwork every day that I'm at home...

Any thoughts?

I get the same feeling, it hits me around 2 or 3.  I just feel like crashing.  And then after that I'll go on the rest of the day normal, except I have trouble falling asleep at night sometimes.  Usually I get around 8 or 9 hours of sleep during the week, sometimes I only get about 6 because I can't make myself go to sleep.

The energy one has during the day depends on many things.
Food you have eaten and if there are carbs and what kinds. The amount of water you have and if you are dehydrated. The vitamins that you might take. The amount of sleep you have and the amount of exercise you do.
Also your age comes into play too. There are certain times in life when you are more tired than another.
On weekends when I have been just sitting I get tired too and will just want to take a nap. Id you feel like it do so. But a nap of about 30 minutes is just enough to get your energy back.
