Throat swelling sensation
« on: March 19, 2013, 08:21:25 AM »
I've been down this road before and yet it still scares the crap out of me!!! Last year about this time I got so bad I was carrying a mirror around with me to keep checking to reassure myself my throat was NOT in fact swelling shut. Logically, I've figured out it's allergies and I have a lot of mucus in my throat but it's still so scary. I ALMOST went into full blown panic this morning over it and thankfully talked myself down!

I did the same thing this morning except I swore I was having a reaction to some soy protein I had last night. So not logical but the panic caused my throat to feel like it was tightening. Funny thing, I'm 35 and have had no food allergies my entire life. So frustrating how anxiety alters your thinking. Glad to read you were able to talk yourself out of it!
