Trails behind moving objects?
« on: March 18, 2013, 05:51:57 PM »
I'm confused as to whether this is normal or not, if you have your hand in front of your face, should it leave a slight trail or not? If its normal, what is palinopsia, I thought that was the trail behind moving objects.

Also if I point my finger up and put it down quickly I also see a really quick flash of where my finger originally started from pointing up, but I have to be watching out for not. Is this normal?

Thanks.

I see streaks if I wave my hand in front of my face.  Also, florescent lighting strobes and can do funny things to your eyes.  Wave your hand in front of a TV (especially an old tube TV) or a florescent light and you'll see it even more.

Sounds more normal to me, but it's hard to tell since I can't see out of your eyes.  If you google around there are some visual representations of palinopsia that might help you out.

This is one of the many vision problems I experience,  and it has gotten worse over time because I tend to focus more on them.  :/

Also another visual thing I have is when I wake up in the morning there is like a flashing strobe light in each eye in my peripheral vision. It only happens in the morning after I sleep. Anyone get this?

If I wave my hand in front of my face I see trails I think that's pretty normal, same if I waggle a finger in front of my eyes.

Sorry for bumping this, but I don't want to clog up the forums with a new thread.
