Been feeling kinda buzzy the last couple days. Currently not on any meds so I'm just curious if anyone has ever felt like this.

Hi,

Not sure if my symptoms were the same but for an extended period of time several years ago, I felt as if every nerve in my body was just vibrating . . . . at the time, I was having severe anxiety which could have triggered it coupled with undiagnosed but intermittent overactive thyroid . . what a combination . . . .as I worked my way out of the anxiety (probably because of the undiagnosed thyroid), the vibrations lessened and then when I eventually was stabilized with respect to the thyroid, it disappeared. However, a couple of years later, I developed shingles on the back of my neck and shoulders and upper arms and it had a similar buzzing type sensation. Even now, years after the shingles episode, if I am anxious or overtired, I will get a similar buzzing along the track line of the shingles which I now use as an early warning system that I need to dial back.

So, if the buzzing continues, you may want to check it out because it could be anxiety generated . . . I really don't think it is your thyroid (as you would probably have a lot of other symptoms) and I don't think it is shingles because you would have seen an outbreak by now . . . .if it is anxiety, perhaps your general doc could refer you to a therapist to help develop management techniques  ..  .but, to answer your question . . . I don't know if my buzz-iness is the same as yours but it is a strange and uncomfortable sensation . . .take care, kc

Yes this is anxiety its eccess energy built up in you body it caused it to buz/vibrate ive had  body vibrations recently it first started in my chest my doctor said it was anxiety but like a true anxiety sufferer i thought it was something serious to my health! (ive had enxiety for years)within a couple of weeks i had it in my leg, shoulder, back, even in my head a couple of times and in my foot on a regular basis, i had my bloods done i had a ecg all came back fine! it was completely driving me nuts it couldnt be seen from the outside but i defo felt it inside me! Anyway i had a bit of a break through a few night ago and thought i would share it with you as ive been on this site alot over the last few weeks, Anyway i hadnt slept for days and had bad vibrating day it was early in the afternoon and i decided i would try and get some sleep before i had a nervers breakdown so i went to bed feeling pretty fed up once i was in bed i did some breathing exercises and then i just lay there feeling all the buzzing/vibrations in my body it was in my chest at that very moment so i just observed it really felt its sensations i imagined all around that area relaxing tissues, bones, mussels etc? i did this for about 5 mins all the time saying to my self relax i then comanded it to stop! and it just did i lay there thinking it was a coincidence expecting it to restart as it sometimes does but it didnt, however after a couple of mins it started in my leg so i did it again consentrating really hard to make everything around that area relax and it stopped again!! that afternoon i made it go away from my chest, leg, back & foot i lay there for the first time in weeks with no sensations in my body totally relaxed and yes in disbelief! im not spiritual and although ive tried to do meditation im completely useless at it! dont get me wrong im not cured after i got up later it did return and i cant run off everytime it comes as im a busy mum of three but that night in bed i did it again! and for the first time went to sleep peacefully now it did come back in the night but because i truely knew at that moment it really was anxiety and not MS or some other nasty nerve disease i was able to go back to sleep even though they was present, since then they do come back but they have been milder and dont last as long and i think they will just trail off now! and last night for the first time i went to bed without anxiety meds, i know it sounds too good to be true but try it what do you have to lose anxiety is a mind condition after all.

I get this a lot, more so when I don't get up much in the day. For a long time I sort of feared exercise when I was like this. I thought I needed to relax to make it go away. Strangely enough I got up one day and just moved around, like I was dancing to music. I got my heart rate up (I'm afraid of that) and then just stood around for a bit and the feeling was gone. I think the key to relaxing sometimes is moving. I realized the buzz was my muscles begging to be used.
