On May 5th of this year, it will be 17 years since I was raped.

I don't know if it's all the talk on the media using rape as a talking point for either political view point or if it's finally losing weight and facing the fear of even being POSSIBLY remotely attractive to a man....
I've been having flashbacks.  I can't remember much else from that year - but I remember every detail and have been reliving them.  It took 10 years for me to feel like I had moved on and my life was "normal".  I don't know why it's coming back now.... 

I'm tired.  Fearful.  I'm not dealing with this as well as I used to.  I just needed to get this off my mind.  thank you for listening.

Had EMDR theraphy ever been suggested to you. It seems to be great for situations like your own one. I have never tried it myself. Just read about it. It may be worth looking it. To see if it can help you out.

Yes.  I had EMDR with that... and it made a HUGE difference in my life.  I think these memories will always keep popping up from time to time when there are triggers.....  Somethings the mind can heal but the body can not....
