ANYONE FROM TORONTO??

I've found coming onto the forum more helpful than anything else I've done, and when talking with a friend the other day she said "why don't you try to find a health anxiety support group in Toronto?". Yeah, well apparently we're not common enough for one. The only support groups around seem to be for the more "popular" disorders, if you will, like depression, GAD, etc.

So, if there is anyone on the forum who lives in/near Toronto and would be interested in trying to start something like that up, let me know :)

Hey - I've been suffering with Anxiety and Hypochondria for several months now - I live in Toronto and really want to help start a support group as it is much needed. Please reply back and we can discuss further. Would love to help get this moving as I really feel I would benefit from that.

Hi There,

I am from the Greater Toronto Area too!
Suffer from episodes of HA for more then 20 years.
Would be nice to have understanding peeps in our region.

btw, my HA is always about cancer. Always real pain swelling etc.
Lymphnodes are always prominent in my anxiety.

Wow, so glad I got some responses!

I think the best thing might be to, when its convenient for everyone, set up a time and a place to all meet and get to know each other. Share our stories, etc.

wow, so many people from Toronto.
There is a social anxiety meet up group in Toronto. Actually two that I'm aware of.
