weird symptom, help
« on: March 17, 2013, 08:37:58 PM »
Been getting some weird feeling mostly when I'm up or walking that I'm being pushed down and my legs get weak. Sometimes it adds some serious dizziness.

Been taking 30mg celexa for a month
50mg trazodone for a month
And 1-2mg klonopin daily for around 5 months.

Just me i guess.. It's probably just a tumor or something. Nothing to worry about.

Is there anything in particular you are worrying about which may be causing anxiety? I know with myself sometimes I will have all these wierd symptoms then I had to figure out why my body was sending me into fight/flight mode.

I had the sensations you are describing ( amongst many others) for months so I can relate to how over it you can be . I found muscle tighness to be the culpret. As I had anxiety my muscles tensed & pressed against nerves which gave me all sorts of sensations. Plus as the anxiety wears you down it makes you feel depressed which can intensify aches/ pains/ sensations. Is it possible for you to see an osteopath?

Hey, I get a similar symptom and it seems a little uncommon for anxiety sufferers- I think I've pinpointed whats going on but its still very annoying and debilitating.

What I feel is a pressure in head (or even unnoticeable pressure if you're not paying close attention) and a weakness in legs and almost a dizzy unreal feeling, and extreme exhaustion accompanies it sometimes.

It's the worst symptom I've felt from anxiety so far, everything else I could ignore, but not this.

What I've realized is (if you're suffering from the same cause), that instead of carrying the tension in my stomach, I carry it in the back of my neck and in my head now, which seems to be causing all these symptoms.  You can make it go away, you have to sit down, and sit up straight, and let go of tensing your head.  At first when you let go of tensing it, the pressure and dizziness and everything else will get worse, then you'll slowly feel the pressure go away.  I've found it can take about 30 minutes of releasing the tension in your neck and head to feel totally calm again.  But sometimes it can take as little as 5 minutes.
