Appendix fear - eek!!

I've been having upper abdomen pain for three days. It wasn't until last night that I started worrying about my appendix. Most of the pain was above belly button, but I've been pressing everywhere to check fr rebound pain and I'm convinced its going to burst!

I'm trying to put off going to ER and see my doctor Monday, but I'm not sure my sanity can make it. Does anyone have advice to help me out with this fear? Thank you!

The more you press on it, the more it's going to hurt!  I had similar pain and went to my doctor to get it checked out.  Turns out it wasn't even in the area of my appendix that was hurting!  (I have IBS so random stomach pains are nothing new for me; should've known that's all it was...) 

If it's your appendix, from what I'm told, you'll  KNOW you're sick.  It comes with vomiting, high fever and INTENSE pain.

I have to agree - you're probably making this worse by poking around.

When I had appendicitis - I knew it.  Pain was incredibly intense ... I was sweating like crazy ... I KNEW something was wrong.  Not sure it's always like that, but it was for me!
