All antidepressants may initially increase anxiety. This can't be prevented, but starting at a low dose should minimize it, so there is a good chance that you'll find 30mg more tolerable. If not, ask your doc to prescribe it in 20mg capsules. These initial side-effects don't last as the body adapts and the brain changes that produce the beneficial effects begin to make a difference. Just keep reminding yourself that the symptoms are from the drug and won't hurt you. The yawning is a common side-effect of this drug that should lessen over time.

BTW-Cymbalta is slightly more effective when taken in the morning, but many people do better when they take half their daily dose in the morning and the other half in the evening because of the short 12 hour half-life of this drug. If you smoke, then it will reduce the effectiveness of the drug by up to 30%, and booze and Cymbalta are not a good mix. One drink probably is okay, getting hammered is not.

NOTE: I'm not a doctor, and particularly not yours, so there may be factors I'm unaware of. Therefore all advice is of a general nature and you should consult your doctor before following any of it, especially before changing med doses.
