Since September, I have had bad back/spinal pain. It is about a 2 inch part of my spine, upper back in between my shoulder blades/lungs. Sometimes it can be felt in the front as well, same spot just pain radiating forward. I watched a program where a young girl had bone cancer, and she said the pain just kept getting worse in one spot (like mine). Could bone cancer be seen on regular chest x ray? I did have one of those about 5ish months ago. It really threw me back into a worrying state :( I just had a cbc also, would that show anything amiss like BC? Thanks guys, sorry this is rambling, but I am trying to work myself down.

I am not a doctor but is sounds to me like it is either muscular or GI related.

WM - I just looked at some of your back posts and you complain of occasional nausea and blood when vomiting (though it sounds like the vomiting is a lifelong thing)... are you sure you don't have an undiagnosed ulcer or acid reflux?  That's just the right spot for it.

I really have thought I have had acid reflux for a while now. My grandfather on my father's side got throat cancer because he had such bad reflux. But I really don't get heartburn that much, or atleast I can't feel it. I do belch a lot, however.

Forgot to ask: Can reflux make you feel like your actual bones are hurting? Like spinal pain?

It wouldn't make your spine hurt, but the pain from it can radiate through to the back, where it feels like bone or muscular pain. (I get it sometimes when my gallbladder acts up... it feels like I pulled my shoulder.)

Burping is a very common symptom of both anxiety and acid reflux. Many, many, many people on this forum have it. It's worth checking into. (But don't freak out about your grandfather... throat cancer is rare and usually hits older males.)

I have pain between my shoulder blades, and my shoulder and back muscles lock up. Stress and anxiety can do this.
