Fighting back.
« on: March 13, 2013, 03:05:41 PM »
So if you've ready any of my previous threads, you'll see I struggle daily thinking I have a lot of diseases/heart/brain problems. Recently, my anxiety has gotten a lot better but it's still trying to drag me down. Today, I decided I'm going to start proving myself wrong and I went to the gym and was on the treadmill for 40 minutes. I ran a little over a mile in the middle and walked the rest of the time. MULTIPLE times through the workout, my feet were cramping and hurting, my chest got really right, my arms went numb, and I felt awful but I just kept going and finished what I had planned to do. I don't know what my heart rate got to because I wasn't measuring but I have to start proving to myself that I'm okay. If I can do this multiple times a week, I think I can finally start to believe I'm okay.

I can do this.

I'm impressed and you should be, too!  This is what you really need to do - on a regular basis, too.  Definitely don't do any checking while working out, as that could set you back.   Just keep doing what you're doing!

Thanks guys. The program I'm doing has me set to go back on Friday so I'm looking forward to that! I feel better today than I have in a while, despite some VERY intense news about a family member.
