Question for the ladies.
« on: March 12, 2013, 04:30:00 PM »
I've gotten into with my fiance pretty bad the last few days because of my anxiety/HA. He is calling me bipolar and telling me i need help. When i look back at it, the symptoms didn't start until around a year ago, the same time I got my Mirena (IUD) I googled it ( i know, slap me.) But A LOT of girls are saying that the mirena was the start of all of their problems, and once they got it out they were back to feeling almost normal! I always have headaches, stomach pains, I'm always moody and have crazy mood swings that l never used to have. I'm not contemplating on if i should get it removed or not.

Birth control is a funny thing... it can solve problems in some people (like me... my problems didn't start until I came off of it), while creating problems in others. I'm sure it has something to do with how our bodies are equipped to deal with hormones.

If your problems started when you got your Mirena, talk to your doc about other possible forms of birth control. It took me a while to find the one that worked right for me.

I would definitely mention this to your doctor and consider switching from mirena to a different type of birth control. Birth control can cause some very odd behaviors in women due to the hormones it contains. My issues with depression, mood swings, etc. all began when I was taking YAZ my doctor quickly switched me to a different type of pill and I have been fine ever since. It would not surprise me at all if coming off mirena fixed your problems!

Oh man...my heart anxiety didn't start until I started birth control and my blood pressure and pulse went sky high.  It came back down after I got off of it but I have been terrified of heart issues since.  Those hormones do wacky things to us!!
