Hi Beachygirl...please don't worry yourself about this.  Depression, anxiety, and worry can cause great fatigue, and yes, even weakness. This started for me when I was in my teens, and I've struggled with it on and off for a long time.  Chronic worry, OCD, depression, anxiety, and any of these things that consume the mind are a very exhausting way to live. It does drain our energy. My disclaimer to this, is of course, that I am not a doctor.

Additionally, I would never discourage you from going to a doctor for a checkup, exam, or basic blood test, and to discuss these things with a doctor, if you have not already done these things.  However, many of us here have already run the gamut of several redundant tests and doctors visits, only to seek reassurance, which becomes another exhausting trap itself. So don't do that either. But if you haven't gone at all, then it can be a good thing, just to rule other things out - things that are not all that bad.  So please don't worry at this point.  In fact, never worry. Only be concerned - when necessary.

You could also take a look at some of the other basic factors that play a role in our energy levels, such as diet. Are you eating well?  How much sleep do you get?  Too little or too much? What about exercise?  Are you on any medications that can cause fatigue? Even over the counter antihistamines can do this. Do you have allergies? They can cause fatigue. Do you get outside and get plenty of sunshine?

Hope this helps
