Better than wildly stabbing in the dark, it could be a good idea to see a naturopath? They can look at your specific diet, deficiencies, and potential issues that might be causing or exacerbating some or all of your symptoms.
Nevertheless, a few remedies are:
1. Omega-3
I find this to work wonders. When used over the longer term it really helps me to rationalise and I can actually use my CBT techniques effectively. You need to find ones with a high concentration of EPA and DHA and take them at quite a high dose (maybe 3 to 4 grams a day)
2. Ashwagandha
This is another one I use and which I think I find effective (though I can' say for sure). I think it helps me in removing any panic and allows me to mellow out. I don't get so stressed over things.
3. SAM-e
Not tried this one, but its meant to be effective. I'm not sure you can take this one at the same time as SSRIs. Consult your health care practitioner!
4. Vitamin C
Vit C supports the adrenal glands and can regulate the body's production of cortisol - a hormone that has a significant impact on stress and anxiety.
5. A complete diet
This is really important. Eat A LOT of veg. I say veg rather than fruit because fruit is very high in fructose and is not necessarily all that good for you. Veg is where is at. Moreover, you need to try to avoid toxic, junk foods. I know this is hard in this day and age with the Standard American Diet (SAD - the worst thing to happen to human health since the bubonic plague). Stay away from fried and processed foods. If in doubt when looking at a label follow this motto: 'If it comes from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don't'. Moreover, sugars and carbs with readily accessible sugars feed pathogenic organisms within the body and mess about with the blood sugar levels. A clean inner-system and a stable blood sugar level are a must for feeling good.
