possible breakthrough??
« on: March 09, 2013, 12:03:32 PM »
OK this morning I started thinking. I of course woke up with the classic heart attack symptoms, left arm pain, jaw pain, shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness. This was not uncommon since I have had a heart attack every single day for the past 15 months. I actually stopped to think today before I turned down dinner plans with my husband AGAIN, is it possible this is anxiety. I recalled a time in May of 2012. I was at my in laws mountain house, had my heart attack symptoms, and then googled how long it would take me from there to get to a hospital. this time was not to my liking so I cried and begged him to take me home. Then I got home and my husband made me an appt with a cardio. I went and had my second ever ekg, second ever echo and both came back apparently so good that the dr ordered me only the blood work I asked for and then refused to give me a stress test or anything else.He did write me a script for kolonopin. I realized today If these symptoms were new then maybe I should get nervous and go to the doctor again BUT 1. I do not think heart attack symptoms would last a year 2. I had testing while having these EXACT symptoms and my husband had a false bad reading. This would mean that the chances are much higher that something bad would have been pointed out. RIGHT??? Am I right? Should I get a second opinion? Does this make sense? God I hope I am right!!!!

Yes, you are right! Understanding and accepting that you have HA, realizing that HA can cause real physical symptoms is a start of a battle with anxiety, not non-existent heart attack. When you know your real enemy - you can fight it successfully!
