So I upped my zoloft from 50 mg to 75 mg 2 days ago and i feel so much better. I was getting breakthrough anxiety for no reason from time to time. I was on 50 mg for about 2 months, then decided to up it to see what would happen. I take the zoloft around 5 pm every night. Every morning is when the anxiety is at its worse, like I feel all shaky or something. So far so good. No nausea like how i had when i first started the zoloft for the first 2 weeks i started it. I'm hoping it works! Has anyone else, when they upped their zoloft, felt instantly better all of a sudden? This morning I still feel a little shaky but it's not that bad, and also, I was able to sleep in until 5 am, usually, I would wake up at 3 or 4 every morning. I am fine throughout the day, it's only in the mornings when i first wake up that i feel anxious for some reason, and it goes away in an hour or two. I used to take zoloft 50 mg for about 10 years and had no problems, i didn't even think i needed it anymore so i stopped taking it back in november, but didn't wean off slowly enough so then i got i guess it was withdrawal so I started taking it again around christmas. I never should have stopped taking it. I am so mad at myself for going off it! So i hope i continue to get better each day. I would like to hear some other encouraging stories of how upping your medicine helped you, and how long until you felt really good, and at what dosage did that happen for you? I don't take any other medicine. I do have zanax 0.25 mg just in case i need it, but i don't take it, other than maybe once or twice a month, and that is usually when I am PMS-ing. I definitely notice increased anxiety the week before i get my period. So fun being a girl, right? NOT!!!! Also, do you think this will work pretty fast, being that I have been on zoloft for a couple months, so it should work faster since i upped the dosage, i hope it's not like how it was in the beginning cause that took about 3 weeks to start working. Granted, i was really sick at that time as well. In december, i had a bad head cold for 3 weeks, it wasn't the flu, but similar to the flu with mono like symptoms, but i was negative for mono. Then i had some weird stomach virus illness. Then i got norovirus and salmonella at the same time. So i have had my fair share of sicknesses bringing me down! I work in a hospital for a gastoenterology practice so I am probably exposed to lots of germs, and we did have a norovirus outbreak at my work and in the hospital, and that is still ongoing, still patients coming in with norovirus type symptoms. I really just want this winter to be over with so we can get some nice warm weather and for these germs to stop going around!!!
