Panic attacks with no fast breathing of hyperventilation?
« on: March 09, 2013, 04:57:56 AM »
Hi. I'm new to this forum. I was just wondering if anyone else here has panic attacks that don't involve heavy breathing or hyperventilation. I have racing thoughts, fast pulse, dizziness and a lot of the classic symptoms, but I rearely ever hyperventilate. Is this normal?

And the answer would be yes. Symptoms vary from person to person. We even get people who have none of what you get and no fast breathing either. It can be like a symptom free anxiety attack. Just we tend to latch onto certain things more than others. They become our symptoms. If a person fears they may faint during an anxiety attack, that will be their biggest symptom. Because it is on their minds. There is no real set symptoms at all.
