Very anxious lately...

My HA has been really good the past few years. It hasn't been controlling me and I've been able to live my life without constant worry that I have some terrible disease. Until lately when I started having persistent neck pain and stiffness. I finally forced myself to go the dr. and get an x-ray and blood work. I was terrified of the results but my blood work was fine and the x-ray showed a degenerative disc (I'm 35). I am still not 100% convinced that there isn't some other underlying problem, but at least it put my mind a little at ease.

So now that I have turned to worrying about getting a baseline mammogram which my dr. recommended because of my age. I never feel my breasts because I am so afraid of feeling something scary, so recently when I actually did, I of course thought they felt lumpy and abnormal. I am so scared to even CALL and make the appt. for the mammogram. I am so worried that they will find invasive breast CA or something of that sort and my life will be basically over. I know breast CA isn't common under age 40 but it's definitely a possibility.

I guess I just need to vent here. I wish I could feel more in control of my health and be able to make appts. when necessary and not be so scared of my body!
