Nighttime nausea still :(
« on: March 06, 2013, 02:11:34 AM »
Every.single.night I get nausea so bad. I have thrown up twice in the last 4 nights. I am also burping a lot more than usual. Is this a bad bout of heartburn/indigestion? Anyone else had this? I have also had tons of bloody nose/mucus when I blow my nose lately. I don't know if that is related or not. Reassurance/ me toos would be helpful!

Could very well be heartburn, it tends to attack at night when you're laying down. What have you been eating lately? Anything new or different? I would think the nose blood would be unrelated. Could be due to seasonal change, low humidity, anything in your home or out outside can cause this.

Do you have post nasal drip by any chance? My son has a sensitive gag reflex. When his post nasal drip is acting up the dripping down the back of his throat causes him to throw up. I also have post nasal drip, and while I don't throw up, the gunk going down my throat makes me nauseous. Sounds like your sinuses are giving you some trouble. But, it could also be acid reflux. If it keeps bothering you, maybe go to the doctor. There might be something that could help it.

I think you should keep a food journal and write down what you eat every day. When you are nauseated, look at what you have eaten and see if there is a pattern with a certain type of food. You could have an intolerance to something

My GI physician told me that in many cases, the cause of nausea is never found.
