Cuchulan - thanks for the encouragement!
Linz86 - work wise, I have waited tables, done retail, reception, and worked in an office for a couple things including as a Customer Service Rep.
I am actually living in a small town/city and the jobs available here are slim. I have even put out resumes to coffee shops etc. I do hope to get something soon.
I have only been dealing with this stuff for over a year now - GAD/some depression etc.
So this will be my first time at work with this. However, I DO find I am improving! Hallelujah!
I am taking meds and recently started my SSRI around 4 weeks ago.VERY slowly "tapering on" . Like one would when coming off of one. I believe it is helping a lot.
I am early 40s...right now, no husband and no kids. I have wanted both. I don't have much to show for things right now. So I understand how you feel! Although you have a husband and kids, so you already have some amazing blessings!
I have been thinking about going back to school as well. I have ALL these ideas about things I want to do. However, it seems one step at a time. I don't have any money and am currently living with my Mom...
So, you should probably feel good about yourself with what you have currently and how young you are. So you have a lot of life ahead of you.
I understand discouragement, because I have been battling that a lot lately too. How will I find someone decent at tnis age? What about kids now? I want to be able to get back to work to work towards a place of my own, and other financial goals.maybe that will expose me to more people and I might actually find a decent guy left out there! LOL!!
So, keep your chin up! You have a lot going for you already!
I am NOT a pill pusher and it took me a number of months before I would give a SSRI a true shot. However, it seems to be helping me. If you had troubles with side effects, you could try tapering onto it gradually. Just a thought. You do what is best for you!
I hope I have encouraged you some!
