Gallstones? Gerd? Freakin out...
« on: March 04, 2013, 02:50:20 PM »
I was sitting playing the xbox 2 nights ago, not really worried about anything when all of a sudden this very sharp pain came from my right rib and right shoulder....I thought it was trapped gas, it subsided a bit and I tried to sleep it off, Yesterday , no real rib pain but a very dull burn type feeling in my shoulder still and still that same feeling a little bit today. I read it may be gallstones and it requires surgery now i'm freaking out. I can admit that my diet hasn't been all that great these past couple of weeks and I've had heartburn on and off for like a week straight. After reading some comments, I'm almost certain it's gallstones :/ . Can this be reversed by changing my eating habits? I really can't afford to see any doc right now giving that I recently lost my job. Is this life threatening?

Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Sounds more like gas to me. My GI physician told me that gallbladder pain typically happens after a heavy meal.

Hey memphis guy!
So me being a fellow gamer I will tell ya that if you are sitting around playing video games for a long period of time (like I do- i know its addicting haha) you will get allll sorts of aches and pains.  I have found that tensing and then relaxing while playing games and not getting up and doing something else for an hr or so will give me all sorts of sensations. Just get up and do something else for a few minutes, take a break and you will be fine :happy0151:
