Question for the ladies - nipples

Hey ladies, just a quick nipple question, when are you lying down and your nipples are not erect, do they sink into your breast a little? My left one does when lying down (and also if I pull my boob up to look at the nipple when standing up) but when they are erect they stick out.

I saw an advert for breast cancer today which has brought that old worry to the front of my mind.

My nipples are something I haven't really paid particular attention to in the past so guessing this is normal for me but some reassurance of what others do would be great.   

They say a symptom is sudden inverted nipples but they don't specify in what environment (standing up, lying down, hard nipples, not hard nipples etc etc) I would assume they mean inverted all the time but if anyone has any information otherwise that would be smashing.

Even if just to answer the question of do you think inverted nippes due to BC would be obvious/inverted all the time?

My son had an inverted nipple when he was born and it looked like it had been sucked in, not just a little dip, so yours doesn't sound inverted, but if you're worried about it, it doesn't hurt to get it checked out by a doctor just to be sure.

That sounds fairly normal for me? My left nipple is inverted but does perk up if it's cold or has stimulation. I notice it 'sinking in' when I lay down and when I'm simply warm and relaxed. Sudden inverted nipples would mean all the time I believe dear, I think you're totally normal.

Sounds pretty normal to me. I have one inverted nipple. Have had it as long as I can remember (and I have had it checked out because I am nutty about those things). It is inverted most of the time. Whether I am laying down, standing up, dancing, doing whatever. It will look normal sometimes, but most of the time it does not.

I don't actually have an inverted nipple (and I've never had in the past) I guess I am just worried that one is becoming inverted because when I look at it lying down my nipple looks sort of flat and sinks into the breast but standing up it doesn't and they go erect all the time no probs.

I guess that when they say "inverted nipple" as a symptom they mean a proper sucked in nipple. I'm gonna keep an eye on mine over the next few months to see if it changes any more.

Pretty sure this is just anxiety which is kick starting these feelings of panic and fear.

How old are you?

Normal when laying down. I have this too.

I think it means when standing up. If you normally don't have an inverted nipple and it turns inverted then something to check out.
