MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

That is very true sixpack...
I don't take meds for my anxiety.. I try natural supplements which do help most of the time but sometimes it takes awhile. My doctor knows i have anxiety and she helps immensley with it. I do find that other peoples stories help me which of course this is the reassurance thing most people with anxiety seem to have... but it really does help

Nevercalm, I get all these pains and stuff..ive learnt not to panic over them anymore, but there are still days where they attack my body left and right and leave me in a mental mess..sometimes i just feel like crying because it just feels so depressing and makes me feel down, but the hope that im going back to normal soon keep me going everyday  :angel-smiley-006:

you are still a newbie so I am going to go easy on you  :winking0008: ;D

honey, reassurance really, no matter what you think or tell yourself, is NOT helping you.  all it does is give you a bit of a fix to tide you over until the next 'panic' starts and you need another fix.  it just further entrenches the thinking disorder.  I know it is ever so wanted that reassurance, but it isn't helping you.

maybe you know or maybe you don't  :winking0008:---but meds---natural or from the pharmacy--and having an understanding doc are not really going to "fix what ails you".   meds--natural or pharma-- are but one tool in the box.  AND an understanding doc, while wonderful, can sometimes be part of the problem.  this is especially true if the doc is always willing to order "peace of mind" testing.  that sort of testing is, again, only reassurance.

as I've said on this forum several times in the last couple of weeks  :winking0008:---you can't a hire a plumber to fix an electrical problem.   It is just throwing good money after bad.

so, imo, you need to add some more to your getting better regimen

below is my thread called "As I see it"  it has a lot of my thoughts.  I talk about all the lies we tell ourselves that only furthers the thinking disorder.  it has other links embedded as well.
