New here from Toronto
« on: February 11, 2013, 02:08:26 AM »
Hi everyone,

Back in the late 90s I used to be a member of an OCD forum called "Fairlight" and thought I had some OCD issues. I always thought I had some forum of illness and later did I find out this was called hypochondria. The funny thing is I have not been diagnosed with this disorder by any doctor but I am fairly certain I have this. Its been going on since childhood as far back as i can recall about 30 years.

I have been told I suffer anxiety and that is about it but I have a feeling mine is much worse then just simple anxiety. Anyways hope to share in the coming days/month ahead.

Recently I went to walk in clinic (my doctor would have refused) to get several tests. Currently I am doing these tests

Neurologist - saw already and did a nerve conduction study
Cardiologist - doing stress test and 24 hour holtor
MRI - doing this 24 hours from now
Several Blood Tests - including b12 and all sorts of others
Xray
Ultrasound

The last few months I have been to the ER a few times thinking I was having some heart issue.

Having a real hard time lately so hoping to share and get it off my chest in hopes it will help.

I have put myself through so much fear reading google online

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you as a member. Here you are with like minded people. People who understand. As we all suffer from something or other. So feel free to ask any questions. Our members are always willing to help others out. Good chatroom too. 3 posts to enter the room.

Find the correct section of the forum that suits your condition and create a new topic on it. This is just a welcome section. Never really get the same amount of help in this section as you would on the other sections of the forums. So whatever one suits the questions you are asking. Get much better answers.

All users of the chatroom must be 18 years old or over. The room is off limits to anybody under the age of 18.

Thanks so much for the reply. Indeed this does appear to be a place where one can get valuable information. I hope to contribute very much soon.
