Hi, everybody. I haven't been here for a long time. I started taking Zoloft and have been doing so well with my HA that I almost forgot I had it! But now I'm having a major panic/relapse.

I am leaving for Orlando later this week. I am going to Disney with a friend. It's kind of a required trip and not something I would normally do. I hate travel because it makes my HA rage out of control. I always worry I will get sick to my stomach.

I am sure I will catch that norovirus/stomach flu that's going around while I'm at Disney. I'm all of a sudden terrified of eating anything while I'm there. Can someone please talk me down?

Thanks in advance...

Go to Disney and have fun! There is a lot to do there, too much for you to be worried. Just bring some hand sanitizer and wipes and you should be fine! Maybe you are just getting anxiety as the trip is getting closer and once you are there you will feel better . Enjoy yourself

Just wash your hands.  It's mostly transferred person to person.  Wash your hands well before eating and regularly throughout the day, and you should be fine.

A friend of mine lives in Anaheim and goes to Disneyland several times a month.  She's never been sick from visiting there.  Neither has my Disneyworld crazed friend in Florida.  I can see why you'd worry about them being a place to catch a bug (so many kids!) but good hygiene should be all you need to keep you healthy.

Have a good trip!  I've never been to Disney, but I'd love to someday.

I know exactly how u feel!! Just a quick word of advice Wet Ones wipes and Germ X Advanced are two products that kill norovirus, regular hand sanitizer is only good for colds and flus. I have researched and feel like using these products esp before eating I am doing the best I can. Also try to stick to foods that are cooked. You will prob be having so much fun you'll forget ur anxious. Think positive and wash your hands and enjoy yourself in the happiest place on earth!!!
