Advice from Claire Weekes
« on: January 25, 2013, 10:58:25 PM »
Consider just one of her many teachings.

There must be no self-pity.  There must be no dramatization of self in this "terrible state" -- no thinking of how little the family understands, how little they realize how ghastly this suffering is.  Self-pity wastes strength and time and frightens way those who would otherwise help you.

From "Hope and Help for Your Nerves" a book that anyone who does not understand the physical effects of anxiety should read.

I've got the book. It is an excellent resource. I've read through it a few times. It helps.

I've got all of her books (even though lots of repeat material).  She is awesome and so full of common sense.
