I've been taking lexapro for about 5 days now for anxiety/panic attacks. My psych doc gave me klonopin until the lexapro kicks in, but now I feel so depressed and a bit like a zombie. Anyone else had this experience?

could be, I have similar problems at times, and I am not sure how much is the condition vs the medicines.  But from past experience the anxiety/depression should lift when the lex kicks in.  Yesterday my mood was good, today not so great so far, but given enough time the lex should work.   My doc also gave me ativan which I can try during the day to see if it lowers anxiety when it appears without making me as sleepy as klonopin does, I've tried it a couple of times, not sure what to say about it yet.  Still take.5 klonopin at night, so its not a high dose, and when the time comes its not hard to taper the klonopin if one goes very slowly.

could be the klonopin. it can really pack a punch or not work at all depending on your body chemistry. when i took it, i felt zoned out, incoherent and just out of it (much like a zombie), but i also had horrible separation anxiety and was depressed. mind you, i was on a low dose of zoloft at the time that barely touched my depression, so it could have just been breakthrough depression. i would call your doc and see what he/she says.
