Breast lump... Freaking out!!! Please help!!!!
« on: January 24, 2013, 01:49:26 AM »
I'm freaking out!!! So right before my last period I found a hard round lump in my breast. I think it's moveable but I'm also scared its just the tissue around it moving! I called my dr and she said to wait until day 12 of my cycle because usually cysts will go away. Well it's not gone and I can't get into my dr for 2 weeks bc of my work schedule (I'm a nurse).., I'm 25 and don't have any relatives with BC so I know the risk is low but I'm still so scared!! I need someone to talk me off the ledge!!

I am 29, and I always have lumps and bumps in my breast, and they seem to get more "lumpy" around my cycle. You are young and with no family history I would say your odds are extremely low to have BC. Do schedule an appt, but I wouldn't get all worked up over it. Tons of woman just get lumps and they are totally benign.

I found a large lump in my breast when I was 19 (many many years ago :). I of course was scared. I had to have it removed because the needle biopsy showed it was not a cyst and it kept growing. When I had it removed, it was over 2 inches. It turned out to be a benign fibroid lump.

I have always had very lumpy breasts that change with my cycle. That is completely normal. It certainly can't hurt to have it checked. But at your age, the chance of it being anything bad it VERY slim.

90% of breast lumps found are benign.  I had one 10 years ago, definitely get it checked...but don't stress...

I have a billion little bumps in my boobs and I'm 20. Normal. Been examined. Normal the doctors said. No worries :)

I'm 22 and had a scare last June too, after getting biopsied it just turned out to be a non-cancerous fibroadenoma. Afterwards I wound up getting it surgically removed since the chances of it growing were pretty high  It's supposedly the most common lump and bump girls our age get. Nothing to worry about in the end.
