Female Issue
« on: January 22, 2013, 06:05:16 PM »
I got my period today and I am  so riddled with anxiety! My eyes are being funny not seeing right, I feel funky, shaky, tired, and disoriented. I am nauseous and cant not get a comfortable body temp. Does anyone else deal with this? I am 28 yrs old. Right now my brain is screaming go to the hospital before this gets worse....

I always get extra anxious near the start and during the first few days of my period.  Calm down, drink some chamomile tea...

When I bleed heavily on my period, I'm dizzy and lightheaded quite a lot too, and hormones can make body temperature do crazy things.

Do you actually have a fever or do you just feel hot/cold?

If you use tampons, I recommend not doing so, because I find that it exacerbates my health anxiety worrying about toxic shock.  (If that's not something you were worried about, don't let me put the idea in your head; it's just something I tend to fret over!)

I agree.... I haven't used tampons in years because I always worried about toxic shock!  Glad I am not alone!
