Exploding Head Syndrome?

Occasionally when I'm falling asleep I suddenly hear a loud bang or other form of a loud noise. Annoying and scary!
Happened to me last night. I understand this is called exploding head syndrome.

Has anyone had this before?

yes, mine is sound of gun shot.....booooom!! don`t worry about it.

Just happened again! Also feel a little light headed or like I'm floating in bed

I get it all the time. Mine sounds like something loud falling over right before I fall asleep. I just had a clear brain MRI, if that helps you. This is a VERY common thing, even for non HA peeps :) Nothing to worry about!
