Debating making a doctor appointment...
« on: January 17, 2013, 11:45:35 AM »
Ok so right now I am smack dab in the middle of a brain tumor fear. I have been having daily headaches since Christmas. I have also been having neck pain as well. I  now noticing a rushing sound in my left ear only. I am highly considering making an appointment with a different doctor as I seen my regular docyor last week who felt the headaches were blood pressure related and put me on blood pressure pills. After a week my blood pressure still hasn't come down. So we got headaches, hypertension, and ear whooshing. Time for second opinion?

Ok so I CALLED doctors office and expressed concern over my continued headaches, still raised blood pressure, and now one sided ear whooshing. They are going to have me continue my bp meds and check my potassium. And follow up with me in one week if things aren't better. None of this makes me feel better. I honestly feel like I will die if I don't get a ct scan soon!

That is a difficult decision to make. I will tell you a strange story that happened to me a little over 5 years ago. I was getting these
strange sensations on the top of my head, like bugs were crawling on my head. I thought I was cracking up. My head would also
get other weird sensations. I called my ENT physician, as I had a sore throat also. I told him about my head sensations and he looked at
me with a grimace and asked me what I wanted to do. I said can I have an MRI of my head. He said OK and I made an appointment for
a brain MRI with contrast. The test seemed to take forever and the next morning the doctor called me first thing, so I thought I was
finished. It all turned out OK. Subsequently, another doctor told me that if there is tension in your back, shoulders or neck, that it can
cause headaches, tingling, and other weird sensations.
