experience with test results

What time of day does your doctor's office usually call with test results?  I am freaking out because I had a pap on Tuesday and they said it takes about a week for the results.  It has now been nine days.  Does it mean it takes a week for them to get them and additional time to mail?  Any experience with this?

No news is usually good news, but call them anyway. This happened to me once, and it turns out they had mailed my results and I just hadn't gotten them for some reason.
