Eye Floaters coincidence?
« on: January 16, 2013, 04:44:58 PM »
I have been super anxious lately after a sinus infection that made me dizzy for weeks.  I have noticed an increase in pins and needles, weird vision, tight chest, etc etc........

I can convince myself some or all of the above symptoms may be anxiety but I also have noticed a couple of annoying black floaters in my right eye.  I have had floaters here and there in the past, but these seem persistant.  I am dwelling on them a bit.  I don't understand if they are just a coincidence that I am focusing on or if they appeared along with all of my symptoms of anxiety.

They are freaking me out. Anyone?

I got one for the first time a while back. Went to the optomestrist. She assured me they are no big deal and that most people will have them at some point, so try not to let them freak you out.

Eye floaters are very common and most of the time you don't tend to notice them but when your anxious and hyper vigilant with your vision and just in general, you will think that there is an increase in them. I have had them persist ant before. I had one floater stick around once, for a couple of months.

Unless the floaters are to the point to where they cover your vision because they are like rain, your fine. My eyes are every bad and I have talked to countless eye specialists about this.
