Can anxiety cause coughing?
« on: January 15, 2013, 04:12:24 PM »
So i've had chest tightness for a few weeks with my anxiety and i'm used to it, but tonight when my chest felt tight and I felt short of breath, i took a deep breath I slightly coughed which i've never done before? I also feel like i'll run out of breath easily, like talking takes my breath away, sort of. Is this normal?

I have coughing/gagging episodes when under a lot of anxiety. So I guess coughing is just one more symptom of anxiety. I'm not a doctor though...this is just my experience.
