Help worried about pancreas!
« on: January 15, 2013, 05:49:59 AM »
Im a 25 yr old female. The last couple days I have been worrying I have pancreatitis and am scarred. The center of my upper abdomin has had a dull pain off and on and I have a pain in the very center of my back on my spine thats hurting. I do not have the pain when I lay down. I am not having vomiting or nause..and I am not running a fever. I cant figure out if I just strained my back carring the car seat or what. I have been slightly constipated and have had pebble stool. I am just worried and will not let my set googlle thise because that turns out bad. any advice?

If you're constipated, get a stool softener and eat more fiber.  If it's pancreatitis, you won't just feel sore, you'll feel SICK and be in a lot of pain.  If it doesn't go away, maybe ask a doctor, but I doubt that's what it is.

I have known a few people who have had pancreatitis and they all had to be hospitalized as they were
in severe pain and were very sick with a fever, vomiting, etc.
