Is my hypochondria manifesting from my schizophrenia?

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia a few years ago and I was on medication all this time up until the last year or so but I haven't seen any visual hallucinations but a few times I believe I've heard things again. Could my hypochondria really be my schizophrenia? Making me believe I have things wrong with me when there isn't. I didn't think about it until my doctor did lots of blood tests and I had a CT scan and i'm currently waiting for an MRI result to come in.

Do you have any input on this?

I don't know the answer to this but since schizophrenia can you cause paranoia and heightened awareness I can definitely see how there might be a connection between the two...

I seen your icon and my initial thought was, 'I don't remember commenting on the post again!' ha. I guess its something to bring up to my therapist..

I think it would be a good point to bring up as well. I am sure that it can play a role in what you are feeling, etc as Echo said.

My doc. just called to tell me my MRI results are normal.

I guess back to the psychiatrist...
