My name is Steve I'm 27 and I live in Bristol, I have a great partner and two wonderful kids, I'm a huge football fan!, I also love watching films, playing snooker, skittles and darts.
I been suffering from anxiety for 14 years now, and only up until 6 weeks ago I've never told anyone about my illness. After struggling for so long I thought it was time to open up and try and get rid of this terrible thing that's held me back in life in everyway.
I saw the doctor 6 weeks ago and told him everything and he gave me the option of medication, therapy or both, I'm really not interested in the medication side of it so I went for therapy, I saw someone today from an organization called LIFT and they've set me up with 6 week coarse to start with to see how that goes 2 hours per night/per week.
It took me so long to be open about it because I was embarrassed but realise now there's so many others in the same boat as myself and that talking to people about it actually do help.
I look forward to speaking with you all,
Thanks,
Steve.
