Hi everyone, so I just got this nasal irrigator, and I hadn't washed it for a few days after using it a first time, and I just put it a bit in the microwave to disinfect it, and then I used it, but I put it too much up against my nose, and the water went in my nose and it really hurt, and now I'm worrying about brain damage because I fear the water may have gone up into my nasal cavity and up then into my cranial cavity...

I'm also worried that there could've been like some amoebas or something like another type of pathogen in the nasal irrigator, I heard once of this man who washed out his nose with water, but the water was infected and amoebas then got into his brain and ate it, killing him.  I worry now that there are either amoebas or water or both on/in my brain/cranial cavity and are eating and/or destroying my brain there......

I feel sometimes up in the clouds, and I blame this on those amoebas or water on my brain....

Please somebody, help me....

I'd just say that it's your anxiety but if you really want to get real reassurance go see a doctor. I'm sure everything will be fine.  Just take deep breaths and maybe try watching some TV or read a book to get your mind off it - at least that's what I do when I get anxiety attacks.
