Help Please - I'm back

Hi, I have been on this board for a few years. I have "self-diagnosed" health anxiety. I haven't posted for awhile as things have been well but now I'm back. For awhile now, I have been experiencing some heartburn and sometimes a "empty" hollow feeling in stomach like I am hungry. After a couple week that hollow feeling is gone but I still get that heartburn. Sometimes after I eat and sometimes out of nowhere. Then last week I woke up with very nasty sulfuric tasting burps and had diarrhea all morning. I took some imodium and that has subsided. I am just worried that this onset of heartburn may be pancreatic cancer? My wife and I just had a baby boy and the thoughts going through my head are frightening. The reason I worry is because I have read some online stories where the persons only symptom when going to doc was heartburn. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there! I'm so sorry that your symptoms are giving you such grief. I can tell you though that I have exactly the same symptoms.. I have been dealing with heartburn and that same hollow like feeling.. I have been seen by a GI and he said its just indigestion. As we know, anxiety can certainly amplify symptoms and exaggerate the feelings. I hope that my response has helped to ease your mind.

He didn't. Honestly, the thing that has worked so well for me is 2 Tums and a glass of water. :)
