I started taking magnesium supplements a couple months ago and I have to say, I think it's been working. I've read up on it (in reputable sources) and it seems that it helps regulate the amount of adrenaline being pumped in your body (among the other things it does).

It might just be a placebo effect, but I really feel like I've been calmer than usual. The most noticeable thing is that I've been sleeping better. I don't think it puts me to sleep faster. But when I do fall asleep, I stay asleep longer. Give it a try. It sounds like a very safe supplement (you can't overdose on it unless you're chugging them by the bottle) so there's nothing to worry about.

i don't know how it works, but there is a product you can find in organic stores called natural calm that i believe is magnesium citrate. i don't know if it works, or if it's a placebo effects, or the calming warmth of the drink. personally i find chamomile tea works for me.
