HELP!!!! I need an answer about klonopin

has anyone had klonopin/clonazepam cause more anxiety? Its so weird...but after just 4 hours of taking a .5mg I am crawling out of my skin, does this mean it doesnt work or do I need to go to 1mg.?    Back in late part of May I started on clonazepam and just .25mgs 2xs a day worked like a charm. since that time I had gone off my AD like an idiot...and now have been trying to get back on the AD after being off for 2months....I have had to increase the morning dose of klonopin to .5mgs and that doesnt always do a thing, tried .75mgs and sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesnt....


I need an answer because I am really finding it hard to even leave my bedroom anymore....if clonazepam isnt working then would that mean that none of the benzos will work? I have been on xanax before when starting on an AD and the same with clonazepam, as soon as AD would kick in I have always been able to wean off without a problem.

this is the longest amount of time that I have been on a benzo regularly everyday several xs a day...Dr says go ahead & increase it but I am scared

It is possible that you've developed a tolerance to clonazepam, however, another explanation may be that anxiety from the antidepressant (AD) is much higher this time around. For reasons that are not clear, ADs can produce much more severe initial side-effects when taken for a second time. They may also be different that the last time too.

this actually would be the 4th time going on this med. 12 years ago when I 1st went on it I came off it after on;y 6 months, then 2nd time was on it for 8 months last time I had been on it for 6 years......everytime has been harder & harder to get back on but it always works....just dont know what to do with the klonopin

if you are talking about klonopin then since June 2012, if you are asking about zoloft I have been taking that for over a month now slowly upping doses as I go

The you are already dependent on it so you might as well up the dose to 1mg. IMHO, there is no point taking a drug at ineffective doses. Be aware that because of its long half-life it can take a couple of days for it to build up in your system and develop full effectiveness.
