Still afraid of misdiagnosed brain tumor :-/

Yesterday at work I tooky blood pressure. It was higher than it should be... 150/107... Oops. So I made a doctors appointment regarding my headaches. He definitely feels the headaches are blood pressure related. He started me on some meds and told me to come back if my blood pressure or headaches do not improve. I didn't even mention my brain tumor worry. It makes sense that my hypertension is causing the headaches and not to jump right to a CT or MRI but I still can't talk myself off the brain tumor ledge :-/

What are your headache symptoms like? I'm in same boat as you and can maybe compare, I'm sure we are both going to be fine. I told my doc I wanted an MRI because I have never had one and I want to know 100 pct for sure. My MRI is scheduled for next week so now I'm in this wait mode and of purse anxious and worried as hell all the time.

So far my only symptom is headaches. Daily. Sometime I feel them in the back ofy head, sometimes more in my sinuses. They are kind of all over. They totally come and go. The only time I for sure don't have a headache is right when I wake up. Otherwise they are coming and going all day long. This all started December 24. Oh lido I think I MAY have had a phantom smell on Sunday. I thought I smelled hairspray,my husband did not. Although I could have been smelling my own hair? I dunno my doctor did not seem concerned with that. He said TYPICAL phantom smells are bad smells like skunk or smoke. He thinks I probably was really smelling something.

A brain tumor was one of my huge fears not that long ago, and I found everything got so much worse when I worried about it, as soon as I was distracted nothing was quite as bad. When you first wake up, your brain has had a chance to rest, so the tension is relieved from your head. What I've read about BT's is that the headaches are very severe and they do not come and go they are a constant pain, also that with most brain tumors, you would know something was wrong, you wouldn't be questioning yourself.

Yeah unfortunately for me I do have them daily when I wake and there all day long! It's not severe but I feel it big time when I cough, strain or bend down. Unfortunately I've read about all BT symptoms as well and I seem to fit the damn bill with the headache symptoms!
