Worried about the flu

I just watched the news and two teenagers in my state have died from the flu. It makes me very worried as I have a teenage daughter off in college. She just had mono and was really sick and her lymph nodes are still swollen. I am worried what will happen if she gets the flu on top of the mono. It is making me extremely anxious! AHHHH!

 I know I panic a lot when the Flu gets around .  Yes the Flu this year started early, and you have a daughter who is in college.  Try not to panic so much.  I'm shure she has areas with local clinics, hospitals and other people on campus.  People who are worse off are probably the ones that have major medical issues, and they still can pull through.  I don't have any kids and not married.  I know she is your baby  .  Ask her if she is keeping up with a local doctor or is watching her health.  Lets both make a pack not to panic that much over the Flu .  I'm a major Hypocondriac  .

I am a huge flu worrier. Did she have her flu shot? It is said to be working very well this year. Send her some clorox wipes, hand sanitizer and vitamins and pray. It's all any of us can do.

We have been hit hard here with the flu in Wisconsin. Most of the kids I know who have gotten it were vaccinated, but they are all just fine now. The reason you hear about the extreme cases is because they are just that. We got our vacc's almost two weeks ago, and now DS is home sick from school with a cough. . . . So, what can you do? I am a flu worrier. . .  not sure why b/c I seem to get it less often than others. Hang in there!
