Silver Linings Playbook
« on: January 07, 2013, 02:30:34 AM »
Go see it. Some rough language, but a feel good movie about a not so feel good condition. It is rated R due to the language. I was interested primarily because i heard it was a pretty entertaining picture of bipolar (if there is such a thing). Gave the idea that you can be messed up, but live life anyway.

thanks for the movie recommendation. I might check it out. I'd also like to recommend the movie Flight with Denzel Washington about how this man who is a great pilot but struggles with alcohol and drugs. It's pretty interesting and captivating.

I watched this a few weeks and it's a great movie. However, I didn't feel that bipolar disorder was characterised in the traditional sense of it. I see bipolar disorder as being characterised by manic and depressive episodes but in the movie, the guy seems to be struggling with anger problems throughout the movie. I'm just being particular!

Anyway, awesome movie and actually changed my perspective on Bradley Cooper. He can actually act lol.

Saw Flight. Great movie. Also well worth seeing. Not one to watch in front of the kids BTW. Great perspective on alcoholism.

Bah! I wanted to see it so badly, but my religion discourages rated R movies :c I'm sure there will be an edited version on TV after its release, though.

Use ClearPlay. It filters the movie straight from the DVD. No need to wait for an edited version. You can configure the filter however you want. There is a filter for Flight, but since Silverlinings has not been released on DVD, there is no filter as of yet.

That is genius! I've heard of people talking about it before. I need to get my hands on a ClearPlay thing.
