I must've had my mouth closed and coughed.. Simultaneously, a light pain shot through my left temple. And then again when I coughed the  same way. Now my head feels rather pressured and kind of heavy. A very dull ache seems to go off and on, and I'm getting said ache in different places of my head varying from the left front side near my temple to the back of my head on the right side, too. My ears seem like they're starting to ring and my visions getting a little weird, but I think those may just be my panic setting in. Is it most likely muscular or could I have actually hurt my temple/anything by coughing like that? Has anyone else done anything similar?

Yes! I can not even start to tell you the pains i get in my head. Everyone does. Very common esp. after coughing. Its pressure. As someone who has studied the head, you have so many nerves and muscles in your head... its unreal. even if you have a pinched nerve in your shoulder, it can cause a pain in your head. Just as a tension headache generally starts at the shoulders and back, but causes you pain in your head.
Seriously, dont worry. If it WAS serious... you would have had dropped the second you had the pain. Aneurysms etc.. don't come on slowly. You get a pain, and you collapse. Please relax. You will be fine!
Try to take a warm bath, watch some Tv, something to get your mind on something else! It is not worth the panic. trust me!

It's just a muscle. Those are super easy to aggravate. Be nice to your temples and your neck, chillax, play some nice music and I'll bet you it will go away in no time.

I will endure any pain, as long as it has meaning.

Alright. Thanks to the both of you. I'll try not to worry about it so much. Your answers are indeed very reassuring. Again, thank you both.

I get all sorts of muscle pains and pains in my head if I get a cough I can even end up with a headache. It's perfectly normal, if somewhat annoying.

I have been having very similar symptoms!!! I initially had a sharp headache in my temple/above my right eye when lifting weights. Ever since then I get this pain in the same spot every day upon waking and when coughing, straining or bending down. This has amolified big time since I googled symptoms and said I could have a brain tumor! I'm terrified right now because this does not go away, I've had HA for a while but worried if these symptoms continue because I am attuned to my body so much because of th HA! I am really concerned about this and see my doc tomorrow but know I won't be able to get a CT or MRI tomorrow so more waiting, more anxiety. I really am panicking right now with my symptoms matching google so well...

Good luck, defd2012.
The thing about Google though (which I seem to often forget myself) is that you may match the symptoms well but there are always other ailments with similar to identical symptoms. But really, the nest of luck and I hope you can get yours scans in soon for some peace of mind.
