Diffuse pain in right side?

I have this pain that has started today in my right hand side litterally below the last rib, on my waist really at my smallest point and its right in the middle of my side, its like not that bad but its slightly nauseating as it radiates, its not radiating far and doesnt feel deep in my body and it appears to be triggered by bringing my left leg up when I am laying down on my front.
Im a bit confused and slightly worried. Any help? Any clues to what this might be, does it need attention?

  I do not think anyone on here can say 100% sure what is going on with you because no one is a Doctor as you know and any advice we give could be wrong and we sure do not wanna guess..
 It could be something very simple for sure but when in doubt go get checked out that is my motto.

 If the pain has lasted all day and is painful then you need to be checked out ok just to be on the safe side it could be a simple gas bubble or it could be a muscle who really knows so many things are possible.
 Take care and go get a check up to ease your mind!

It doesn't sound serious to me.  If it is, you would know, in my opinion.  If you are someone with a history of anxiety, it's probably something you are paying too much attention to.

With all due respect, Princess, I don't think just running to get things checked out eases anyone's mind on here—at least not for long. Medical testing and "reassurances" do nothing to ease the mental component of a THOUGHT disorder.

B, why exactly are you worried about this pain? What is your rational mind telling you versus your anxious mind?

I doubt it would help you to know that I get this pain on and off and have for a year. I too went through all the imaginable fears and most of the subsequent tests. All to no avail.

It's time to employ some logic to these knee-jerk catastrophic thoughts.

Haha vardnas sorry, um I dont know why im worried about it, probably because it has appeared today out of nowhere and the fact that I have never had it before and its diffuse?
My rational mind is saying it might be gone by tomorrow and its probably muscular, and my irrational mind is saying it doesnt feel muscular and its either cancer (as usual) or appendix or something.

Do you know what causes yours then? Is this the right sided pain you have mentioned before?

It sounds like it could be muscular but....you sort of lost me with "it appears to to be triggered by lifting my left leg up when laying on my front". I know this is not suppose to be funny but it kinda makes me laugh.

Haha I see why you think its funny, but no I mean when I am lying down to sleep as I was earlier I pull my right leg into my stomach as if sleeping in the recovery position and this makes the pain come into my side

It definitely sounds muscular to me, which is what mine is. I have no idea what brought it on, whether some minor injury or poor posture or the fact that my muscles were chronically tight for about eight months before it started. Probably ALL of the above. What you're probably feeling is radiating pain from your spine. Mine still comes and goes, and is aggravated by lots of sitting or aerobics moves that require me to twist my torso too much.

Thanks, I havent felt the pain today at all so hopefully you are right and it is just muscular, it certainly was nauseating.
